The Science of Subtle Energies
The Science of Subtle Energies
Subtle Energies
Subtle energies, in simple terms, are energies that are so subtle that most people don’t know where they’re coming from or by what means they are affecting them. Subtle energies can include (among many other things) emissions from electric appliances, the wave lengths of our thoughts and prayers, natural energies from the earth and surrounding structures, and emanations from hands-on healers. Most of this is referred to as metaphysical -- beyond the physical; however, for people who work with these energies, they are just as real and identifiable as what most people call the physical. Tuning into, identifying, and interacting with these energies is the life work of subtle-energy workers like Kerry Louise.
The Science of Subtle Energies
Empirical researchers keep adding new studies to the growing documentation of what is called “subtle energies.” Well within the theories of modern quantum physics, world-renowned authorities on the subject -- such as William A. Tiller, Professor of Physics at Stanford University -- have no doubt about their existence. From many years of painstaking research, experts have documented how these energies have measurable effects on living organisms.
Subtle Energies, Feng Shui, and Chi
What modern scientists call “subtle energies,” the ancients long-ago named prana, mana, and chi (also spelled qi). The detection, evaluation, and manipulation of the flow of chi is the primary focus of Flying Star feng shui practitioners like Kerry Louise. When subtle energies are adjusted to their healthiest levels, people have reported that their buildings feel more peaceful and vitalizing and that their feeling of well-being improves. Subtle Energies and Dowsing
We all are affected by subtle energies all the time. Dowsers hone in on these energies and use their skills to find such things as water and to get answers to a myriad of questions.
The Science of Dowsing
(Edited from Editor’s Comments, by Clifford Martel, American Society of Dowsers, Winter 2002, Volume 42, No. 1.)
For hundreds of years, dowsing has been researched and supported by some of the most famous names in science, including Sir Isaac Newton, Thomas A. Edison, Dr. Albert Einstein, and Leonardo da Vinci.
Dowsing is a proven technique that has been used for centuries. It was used to locate tin mines in Cornwall during the reign of Elizabeth I, to find water in the African desert by the British army in World War II, and recently the Smithsonian reported success using dowsing at archeological sites.
Here are some organizations that support the validity of dowsing:
•The Academy of Sciences of Paris
•The British Academy of Science
•The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
•The Canadian Academy of Science
•The Government of the Netherlands
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science.”
Albert Einstein
